Loan to Value Ratio

Loan to Value Ratio (LVR) is one of those things you’ll hear about a lot in the world of home loans. It’s important because it may affect your borrowing power.

Debt-to-income ratio

A debt-to-income (DTI) ratio is calculated by dividing your total debt by your total gross income. Similar to LVR, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) will use DTI to maintain the stability of New Zealand’s financial system. More information is available on the RBNZ website.
